ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico women’s golf team travels to Hawaii this week for the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational. The tournament, hosted by Hawaii at the Pearl at Kalauao in ‘Aiea on the island of O‘ahu, will be held Tuesday and Wednesday.
The tournament will feature two rounds of play on Tuesday and the final round on Wednesday. Live scoring will be available on Clippd.
This year’s tournament features 13 schools, including six teams in the top 100. The Lobos will play against No. 2 USC, No. 13 North Carolina, No. 23 Arizona State. No. 57 Texas State, No. 69 ULM and No. 72 Sacramento State. Host Hawaii, New Mexico State, Montana State, Northern Colorado, Cal Baptist and Division II Hawaii Pacific round out the lineup.
New Mexico’s lineup for the event is Ava Cepeda, Chelsea Truong, Ciara Rushmer, Maria Caparros Levin and Rebecca Galasso. Juliette Hole will compete as an individual.
The Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational has been a frequent event on the Lobos’ schedule. New Mexico won the event in 2004.
