NORMAN, Okla. --- UNM fought tough in doubles, but Oklahoma snuck out the doubles point and then took three straight set wins to down UNM 4-0. The Lobos dropped to 2-5 and take on UT Arlington at 9 am Mountain Time in Norman.
Alberto Perez and Jakub Prachar took a 6-3 win at No. 2 doubles to even doubles at 1-1, but Phil Bosin and Dario Ciobotaru couldn't quite close the deal, falling 6-4 at No. 3 as Oklahoma took a 1-0 lead.
In singles, Oklahoma, featuring four nationally-ranked singles players, handed UNM straight set losses to clinch the win. No. 72 Oscar Lacides defeated Bosin 6-3, 6-1, and No. 107 Johan Rodriguez defeated Perez 6-0, 6-2.
Down 3-0, the match was clinched when Alejandro Meiero won 7-5, 6-3 at No. 5 over Tyler Waddock.
UNM's closest match in singles was at No. 1, where Ciobotaru was in a third set against No. 74 Luis Alvarez.
