ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- Head coach Jason Eck has announced 27 incoming transfers for the 2026 season, one day after announcing 31 incoming freshmen on National Signing Day. Overall, it gives UNM 58 new players, a year after bringing in 75.

Among the transfers, the Lobos announced 11 players on offense (three offensive linemen, three tight ends, two receivers, two running backs, and a quarterback), 12 on defense (five defensive backs, four linebackers, and three defensive linemen), and four specialists (two kickers, a punter, and a long snapper).

Of the 58 total newcomers, there are 29 on offense (2 QBs, 3 RBs, 7 WRs, 6 TEs, and 11 OL), 24 on defense (12 DBs, 6 LBs, and 6 DL), and four transfer specialists.

Of the new transfers, 12 states were represented, with five from California, four from Texas, three from Florida, Oregon, Arizona, and Illinois, and one each from New Mexico, Wisconsin, Washington, Utah, Mississippi, and Louisiana.
