ALBUQUERQUE, N.M – The New Mexico men’s basketball team will host San Diego State on Saturday afternoon at The Pit – Powered by Nusenda in front of a sold out crowd and a national television audience. Game time is 12:00 p.m. and the game will be televised on CBS (KRQE 13 in Albuquerque) and air on Lobo Radio Network.

Saturday’s game is sold out and is the Lobos’ annual Stripe Out Game. Fans should check out the seating diagram to see if their section is wearing white or red. Gates open at 10:30 a.m. and the first 2,000 fans will receive a Nusenda rally towel, while the first 750 fans will also receive a Nusenda water bottle.

The Lobos (21-7, 12-5 MW) enter the contest one game back in the standings of Mountain West co-leaders Utah State and San Diego State. New Mexico is coming off a 67-60 loss at Nevada on Tuesday. Jake Hall leads the Lobos in scoring at 16.0 points per game and leads all freshmen nationally with 86 3-pointers this season.

San Diego State (19-8, 13-4 MW) moved into a tie for first in the Mountain West with an 89-72 home win over fellow leader Utah State on Wednesday night. The Aztecs are led in scoring by Reese Dixon-Waters at 12.9 points per game.

The Lobos lead the all-time series 62-57, including 32-13 in The Pit. The home team has won the last five regular season matchups in the series, including the Aztecs’ 83-79 win in San Diego last month.

The Lobos will conclude their home schedule on Mar. 4 when they host Colorado State. Tickets for that game are on sale now at GoLobos.com/tickets.
