ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- Vianca Corley did it again, clinching the winning point in singles for a second straight day, giving UNM an insurmountable 4-1 lead on the way to a 4-3 win over Northern Arizona. The victory pushed UNM to 7-2 on the season, while NAU dropped to 1-3.

The Lobos host Abilene Christian and Lubbock Christian next Saturday, with matches at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Corley went 3-0 on the week, winning both clinching matches and getting a 6-1 win in doubles, teaming with twin sister Vivica. Vivica also picked up a key win, taking a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 6 singles over Mia Wolter.

Vianca needed a tiebreaker in her opener, winning that 7-5 over Andrea Noguera before winning 6-2 in the second. That win clinched the 4-1 victory, although the match was already over.

The other singles win was for Ramona Petre, who moved up to No. 5 singles and defeated Leontina Stojanovic 6-1, 3-0 (retirement, injury).

Two seasons ago, the Lobos started out 10-0 on the way to their first regular-season Mountain West championship. UNM has just four non-conference matches left before starting league play.
