SPOKANE, Wash. --- The New Mexico women's tennis team showed some signs of a third match in three days. Down a player, UNM lost to Gonzaga to give UNM a 2-1 weekend as UNM dropped a 4-0 decision to Gonzaga.

UNM beat Idaho and South Dakota over the weekend as the Lobos are 5-2 on the season. UNM now returns home for four matches over the next two weeks, starting on Friday with a noon match against New Mexico State.

Against Gonzaga, the Zags took doubles with a pair of wins. UNM jumbled its lineup due to injuries, and the Zags took advantage with a 6-0 and 6-1 win to go up 1-0.

From there, the Zags (5-2) got three straight-set wins to take the victory. Gonzaga got wins at No. 1, No. 2, and No. 4 singles for the win, with the Lobos playing well, but not winning nearly enough deuce points.
