SEATTLE, Wash. – Pamela Kosgei secured her NCAA Indoor Qualifying time in the 3,000m and three other Lobos ran UNM All-Time Top 10 performances to close out a strong weekend at the UW Husky Classic at Dempsey Indoor Saturday afternoon.

Li-Mari Dekker improved upon her 4:43.70 conversion from her season-opening run at the MLK Invitational to lead the UNM women in the open mile, with Mia Torrecillas beating her raw time from the same meet (4:46.98) by more than ten seconds.
Behind them, Nisoli took nearly eight seconds off her previous best run at the same UW meet last season (4:58.16) and Meadow Drebert ran below five minutes for the first time in her collegiate career to make it four new personal bests in total.

Pamela Kosgei secured a surefire NCAA Indoor Championship qualifying mark, ensuring she will return to contest both the 5K and 3K for the second year in a row with an 8:44.91 finish that’s just fractions of a second shy of her Mountain West and UNM record (8:44.62). She finished second overall, with Marion Jepngetich (8:45.20) just behind as she improved on her 8:48.98 mark from earlier in the season in Boston.
Jasmine Wood (8th, 8:59.77) and Nicola Jansen (12th, 9:02.49) both also ran new personal bests that move them into the UNM All-Time Top 10 at No. 5 and No. 8, respectively, with Mercy Kirarei finishing 14th overall in 9:24.87.
