BOSTON, Mass. -- New Mexico Track & Field concluded the second and final day of competition at the BU Terrier Classic with three All-Time Top 10 performances and seven personal bests, highlighted by the third- and fifth-fastest indoor 3K races in program history from Iker Sanchez and Evans Kiplagat.

SATURDAY'S PERFORMANCES

Men’s Mile Open
67. Rhys Crawford - 4:14.89 / 4:09.34*
* Raw Personal Best

Crawford took 1.83 seconds off his previous raw best run in Albuquerque last season (4:13.06) to finish fifth in the seventh heat and 67th overall.

Men’s Mile Invite
13. Matthew Endrody - 3:55.22*
* Raw Personal Best

After breaking the four-minute barrier with a stunning PB that converted to a 3:53.65 last weekend, Matthew Endrody followed with a new raw personal best at sea level with a 3:55.22 clocking in the fastest mile heats of the night.

Iker Sanchez and Evans Kiplagat were the second- and third-fastest collegians in the 3K open field behind BYU’s Isaac Hedengren (7:44.51) as both notched new personal bests that rank among the Top Five indoor 3K performances in program history. Joshua Abraham  (7:54.36) also ran a new personal best to improve on his 7:58.59 performance on the same track in December, while Collins Kiprotich crossed 45th in 8:06.35 to round things out.

Chirchir was the fastest collegian of the open sections of the 5K with a new indoor personal best, 4.35 seconds faster than his previous raw best at sea level (13:40.33) and nearly a second faster than his altitude-converted 13:36.95 mark that ranked seventh in program history. He remains in the No. 7 spot all-time.

In the second heat, Jayden Hernandez came up with a big improvement as well, running 10 seconds faster than his outdoor best to finish 16th overall.
