FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. --- Esme Abbadi-Macintosh was at it again, earning her second finals appearance in as many days, coming in eighth place at the NAU Diving Invitational in the 3-meter dive.
Reed Moyer, who just missed a finals appearance yesterday, sparkled on the 3-meter, earning a finals appearance and coming in 15th overall.
The Lobos will finish up the Invitational on Saturday with the platform diving at 10:30 am. The dives from yesterday and today will be scored between the Lobos and the New Mexico State Aggies to form the 1-meter and 3-meter dives as part of tomorrow's dual meet with NMSU, starting at 11:30 am in Las Cruces.
Abbadi-Macintosh qualified seventh overall with a 268.50. She was bolstered by a 54.6 on her reverse 2 1/2 somersault tuck and a 51.30 on her inward 2 1/2 somersault tuck. In the finals, she did score a 53.20 on her back 2 1/2 somersault tuck, but she was overtaken by Idaho's Maya Salvitti, who had two 50+ dives in the final, including a 56.00-point score.
For Moyer, she was 16th after a very consistent opening six dives, coming in at 238.10. In the final, she moved up one slot with back-to-back big dives to close it out, scoring 43.2 and 43.75 on those final dives.
Other finishers for UNM were Alice English in 28th place and Rithika Colvin in 32nd place.
