ALBUQUERQUE, N.M – The New Mexico men’s basketball team begins a two-game trip on Tuesday night with a matchup against UNLV. Game time at the Thomas & Mack Center is 9:00 p.m. MT (8:00 p.m. PT) and the game will air on CBS Sports Network and the Lobo Radio Network.

The Lobos (16-4, 7-2 MW) reach the halfway point of conference play tied for second place, one game back of San Diego State. New Mexico is coming off a pair of home wins last week, downing Fresno State and Nevada at The Pit. Jake Hall was named Mountain West Freshman of the Week for the second time in three weeks after averaging 17.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game last week, while setting the UNM freshman record for 3-pointers in a season with 59.

UNLV (10-9, 5-3 MW) is coming off an 82-71 home loss on Saturday to league-leading San Diego State, following a mid-week victory at Utah State. The Runnin’ Rebels are led by Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn, who is averaging a league-best 19.3 points per game in Mountain West play.

Tuesday’s game is the only regular season meeting between the teams this season as UNLV is the only Mountain West team not to visit The Pit this year. The Runnin’ Rebels lead the all-time series 43-28, including 21-10 at Thomas & Mack, but the Lobos swept both meetings last year.

The Lobos conclude the road trip on Saturday with a visit to San Jose State. Game time is 8:00 pm. MT (7:00 p.m. PT) and the game will air on CBS Sports Network. New Mexico returns home next week to host Utah State (Wednesday) and Boise State (Saturday). Tickets for those games are on sale at GoLobos.com/tickets.
