ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The No. 17 New Mexico men’s golf team begins its spring schedule this week with a trip to California for the Southwestern Invitational. The event, hosted by Pepperdine, will run Monday through Wednesday at North Ranch Country Club in Westlake Village.

Each day will feature one round of play at the par-71, 7,081 yard course. Live scoring will be available on Clippd.

This year’s tournament features an elite field with all 13 teams ranked in the top 100 nationally, highlighted by six top-30 teams. The No. 17 Lobos are joined in the field by No. 15 Pepperdine, No. 19 Utah, No. 21 UCLA, No. 24 USC and No. 29 San Diego State. No. 41 Washington, No. 47 SMU, No. 56 Loyola Marymount, No. 59 San Diego, No. 60 UNLV, No. 69 San Jose State and No. 100 Colorado State round out the field.

The Lobos will feature a lineup of Mesa Falleur, Wyatt Provence, Thayer Plewe, Johnnie Clark and Emil Albers.

New Mexico is looking to start the spring strong after an impressive fall, where they have finished in the top four of all five events, including a win at The Wohali.

The Lobos are playing in the Southwestern Invitational for the first time since 2018, when they finished 11th at the event.
