ALBUQUERQUE, N.M – The New Mexico men’s basketball team returns home on Tuesday night when it hosts Grand Canyon at The Pit. Game time is 7:00 p.m. and the game will be televised on Altitude2, streamed for free on the Mountain West Network and air on Lobo Radio Network.
Tickets for Tuesday’s game are on sale now at GoLobos.com/tickets. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday’s game is a Cherry Out with fans encouraged to wear red. The first 2,500 fans in attendance will also receive a cherry rally towel. At halftime, there will be a performance by XPogo Acrobatic Pogo.
The Lobos (13-3, 4-1) look to remain unbeaten at home this season and extend a 20-game home win streak, the sixth-longest active streak in the nation. UNM is coming off a sweep of a two-game road trip, downing Colorado State (80-70) and Air Force (91-49) last week. Jake Hall, who averaged 21.0 points per game during the trip, was named Mountain West Freshman of the Week on Monday.
Grand Canyon (10-5) has started its debut Mountain West season with a 3-1 conference record, following wins at Boise State and over San Jose State last week. The Lopes are led by UNLV transfer Jaden Henley, who is fourth in the conference in scoring at 17.2 ppg.
New Mexico leads the all-time series 4-1, including all four previous meetings at The Pit. The Lobos won the last meeting, 91-71, in 2019-20 at The Pit.
The Lobos will travel to San Diego State this weekend for a matchup with conference co-leading Aztecs. Game time is 6 p.m. MT (5:00 pm PT) and the game will air on CBS Sports Network.
