ALBUQUERQUE, N.M – The New Mexico men’s basketball team concludes a three-game homestand on Saturday night when it hosts Santa Clara at The Pit. Game time is 7:00 p.m. and the game will be streamed for free on the Mountain West Network and will air on Lobo Radio Network.
Tickets for Saturday’s game are on sale now at GoLobos.com/tickets. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. The game is a White Out at The Pit with fans encouraged to wear white and the first 2,500 fans will receive a white rally towel.
The Lobos (6-2) look to remain unbeaten at home this season and extend a 16-game home win streak, the sixth-longest active streak in the nation. UNM is coming off a 97-47 win over New Mexico Highlands on Monday as six Lobos scored in double figures. Jake Hall scored 21 points to become just the second Lobo freshman in history to post consecutive 20-point games.
Santa Clara is 8-1 this season and ranked No. 37 in the NET, making Saturday night’s contest the only non-conference game this season that a top-40 NET team visits a Mountain West arena. The Broncos, who already have an 87-68 win at Xavier this season, are coming off a home victory over Utah Tech on Wednesday night.
New Mexico is 5-3 all-time against Santa Clara, including a 4-1 record at The Pit. The teams last met two years ago in the Jack Jones Classic in Henderson, Nev., a 93-76 Lobo victory.
The Lobos will conclude the non-conference schedule next week with a road trip to VCU on Dec. 10 before hosting Florida Gulf Coast on Dec. 14. Tickets for the FGCU game are on sale now at GoLobos.com.
