ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. --- Georgio Samaha, one of the winningest student-athletes in Lobo Men’s Tennis history, is back with the program as a second assistant coach, announced head coach Rob Bareford.
Samaha finished his career last year with 83 career singles wins and 62 career doubles wins. The 83 singles wins are the eighth-most in school history, and the 62 doubles wins are 22nd all-time at UNM.
“I am excited to have Georgio back with our program as an assistant,” said Bareford. “Georgio has a knack for teaching, and his playing career speaks for itself. He will be a great asset to our program.”
The Lobos, who won the 2025 Mountain West Tournament title, open the 2025 season on January 18 with matches against Idaho and Western New Mexico.
