ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— Two Lobos earned their first Mountain West postseason accolades on Monday as Alejandra Puerto was named to the Mountain West Women’s Soccer All-Conference First Team and Nicole Anderson was named to the Mountain West Women’s Soccer All-Conference Second Team.

Puerto and Anderson led the Lobos with four goals apiece against conference opponents with the duo also recording game-winning goals. For Puerto, the senior scored two goals in the conference opener against Colorado College, followed that with a goal in the next match at San José State and the game-winner on Senior Night against Wyoming.

Anderson recorded a brace at Nevada, including the game-winner, scored a goal against Grand Canyon and at UNLV. In addition, the junior assisted on three goals, including Puerto’s goal at San José State, the game-winner against Grand Canyon and Puerto’s game-winner against Wyoming.

The Lobo duo tied for the seventh-most goals among MW players with Anderson’s 11 points tied for the fourth in the conference. Anderson led the conference in shots and shots per match at 40 and 4.0, respectively, while Puerto tied for ninth in shots (22) and tied for 10th in shots per match (2.2). Anderson’s three assists also tied for the six most in the conference.

Anderson and Puerto both had their best seasons as Lobos this season with Anderson doubling her goals from a season ago, and in addition her four goals in conference matched her season total from 2024. Her three assists in 2025 matched her season total from her freshman year. Puerto closes her collegiate career with eight goals on the season, half coming against conference opponents.
