LAS VEGAS, Nev. --- New Mexico sent two in the semifinals of the Mountain West Fall Qualifier with wins on Saturday. One was very much expected. One very much was not.

The No. 2-seeded doubles pairing of Jakub Pracher and Tyler Waddock continued their hot play in the fall season with an 8-5 win over Nevada's Remy Tregoures and Nicolas Recoura. That win sent the team into the semifinals, where they will face the No. 3 seed in Boise State's Carson Baker and Avery Tallakson.

After beating Nevada, which featured a former Lobo from last year's conference tournament title team in Recoura, Prachar and Waddock will face another former Lobo from that same team in Tallakson.

In singles, unseeded Philip Bosin rolled to a third straight win and moved into the semifinals of the singles draw. Bosin took down Carson Baker of Boise State and now faces Baker's doubles teammate in Tallakson, the No. 6 seed in the draw.

Bosin won his way into the semis with a long match over Baker, winning 6-4, 4-6, 6-4, his third win of the tournament, a run that started with a three-set victory in the Round of 32 against the No. 2 seed in the field in Aleksi Lofman of San Diego State.

The winners of the doubles and singles draws will advance to the ITA Conference Masters, being held November 6-9 in San Diego at the Barnes Tennis Center. There, four singles players (the four semifinalists) and three doubles teams (the two finalists and the third-place match winner) will advance to the NCAA Championships.
