ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The New Mexico Lobos travel to Las Vegas, Nevada to take on the UNLV Rebels in a game that not only holds bowl implications for UNM, but Mountain West title implications for both teams.
The Lobos (5-3, 2-2 MW) are one win away from being bowl eligible for the first time in nearly 10 years, and UNLV (6-1, 2-1 MW) is trying to keep pace with Boise State and San Diego State in the MW title chase. The Lobos also have a shot at qualifying for the Mountain West Championship game with a November sweep of the schedule and a little help.
The game will be broadcast on the Mountain West Network with Matt Neverette and Caleb Herring on the call. Robert Portnoy and DonTrell Moore will have the call on the Lobo Radio Network.
The Lobos are trying to end a three-game winning streak for UNLV in the series. This is only the second visit for UNM to Allegiant Stadium, the home of the Las Vegas Raiders. The game is a noon kickoff Pacific Time due to the Raiders hosting Jacksonville at 1 p.m. on Sunday, and the NFL needs at least 24 hours to flip the stadium and swap out UNLV's artificial turf for the Raiders' grass field.
