ALBUQUERQUE, N.M – The New Mexico men’s basketball team concludes the 2025-26 preseason schedule on Thursday night as it hosts Northern Arizona for an exhibition at The Pit. Game time is 7:00 p.m. and the game will be broadcast on the Lobo Radio Network.
Tickets for Thursday’s exhibition are on sale now at GoLobos.com/tickets. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. and parking will be free for this preseason contest.
Thursday’s game will also celebrate Halloween at The Pit. Any fans who arrive in a costume will get a goodie bag (while supplies last). There will also be a costume contest where three fans will be selected to compete at halftime. (Note: Costumes may not include any props that resemble a weapon, must adhere to all clear bag and security policies, and may not obstruct the view of other fans in their seats).
The Lobos, who are one of three teams in the nation to not return a single player, coach, or basketball staff member from last year, were picked fifth in the preseason Mountain West poll. UNM opened the preseason with a 74-66 exhibition loss on Saturday at Washington State. Antonio Chol and Uriah Tenette led UNM with 11 points each in the exhibition in Pullman.
Northern Arizona was picked 10th in the preseason Big Sky Conference poll. The Lumberjacks are coming off an 18-win season last year when they played in the College Basketball Invitational, the program's first postseason appearance in 10 years.
The Lobos will open the regular season on Wednesday (Nov. 5) when they host East Texas A&M. Gametime is 7 p.m. and the tickets are on sale now at GoLobos.com/tickets.
