ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The No. 11 New Mexico men’s golf team concludes its fall schedule this week with a trip to Tulsa for The Clerico. The event, hosted by Oral Roberts, will run Monday and Tuesday at Southern Hills Country Club, the site of nine major championships, most recently the 2022 PGA Championship.
The first two rounds of the tournament will be played at the par-71, 7382-yard course on Monday, with the final round played on Tuesday. Live scoring will be available on Clippd.
This year’s tournament features an elite field of 12 teams, highlighted by eight top-50 teams. The No. 11 Lobos are joined in the field by No. 16 Auburn, No. 17 Oklahoma State, No. 20 Texas Tech, No. 30 Arizona, No. 34 Washington, No. 42 SMU and No. 47 Northwestern. Host Oral Roberts, Baylor, Marquette and Missouri round out the field.
The Lobos will feature a lineup of Mesa Falleur, Wyatt Provence, Thayer Plewe, Johnnie Clark and Oliver Cage.
New Mexico is looking to cap a strong fall, where they have finished first or second in each of the first four events of the season. The last time they finished in the top two in every event of the fall came in 2004-05.
The Lobos are playing The Clerico for the second straight season. Last year they finished fifth as the tournament was held at The Oaks Country Club.
