ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico women’s golf team concludes its fall schedule this week with a trip to Texas for the Jim West Challenge. The tournament, hosted by Texas State at Kissing Tree Golf Club in San Marcos, will be held Sunday-Monday.
The tournament will have two round of play on Sunday, with the final round on Monday. Live scoring will be available on Clippd.
This year’s tournament features 14 schools, including six teams in the top 50. The Lobos will play against No. 5 Texas A&M, No. 19 Oklahoma, No. 33 Florida State, No. 38 Ohio State, No. 41 TCU and No. 44 Texas Tech. Host Texas State, Houston, North Texas, Northern Illinois, Notre Dame, UNLV and UTSA round out the field.
New Mexico’s lineup for the event is Ava Cepeda, Maria Caparros Levin, Rebecca Galasso, Chelsea Truong and Juliette Hole.
The Lobos are playing the event for the fifth straight season. New Mexico’s best finish at the tournament came last year, when UNM finished 8th.
