ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico women’s golf team returns to action this week with a trip to Texas for the Red Raider Invitational. The tournament, hosted by Texas Tech at the Rawls Golf Course in Lubbock, will be held Tuesday and Wednesday.  

The first two rounds of the tournament will be played on Tuesday, with the final round on Wednesday. Live scoring will be available on Clippd.

This year’s tournament features 15 schools. The Lobos will compete against host Texas Tech, along with Abilene Christian, Ball State, Cal Baptist, Central Arkansas, Houston Christian, Incarnate Word, James Madison, Sam Houston State, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, UT Arlington, UTEP, UTRGV and UTSA.  

New Mexico’s lineup for the event is Ava Cepeda, Maria Caparros Levin, Ciara Rushmer, Chelsea Truong,  and Rebecca Galasso. Juliette Hole will also compete as an individual. 

The Lobos are playing the event for the second straight season. Last year the Lobos finished sixth at the Red Raider Invitational.

New Mexico started the season earlier this month with a ninth place finish at the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational.
