ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico men’s golf team will play its home event of the 2025-26 season on Friday and Saturday as it hosts the 70th William H. Tucker Invitational. The event at the 7,555-yard, par-72 UNM Championship Course is free for spectators to attend.
The first two rounds of the tournament will be played on Friday, beginning with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. The final round will be Saturday, starting with a 7:45 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring will be available on Clippd.
This year’s tournament features players from 18 schools, including nine that competed in last year’s NCAA Regionals. The Lobos are joined in this year’s field by Arkansas State, Colorado, Colorado State, Eastern Michigan, Fresno State, Grand Canyon, Long Beach State, New Mexico State, North Texas, Oral Roberts, Rice, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Stetson, Tarleton State, USC and UTEP.
The Lobos will feature a lineup of Mesa Falleur, Wyatt Provence, Thayer Plewe, Johnnie Clark and Oliver Cage. Alvaro Portillo, the 2024 Tucker individual champion, and Emil Albers will compete as individuals.
New Mexico is coming off a title earlier this week at its season-opening event, The Wohali in Utah, sharing the win with No. 6 Arizona State among a field with four preseason top-25 teams. Falleur led the Lobos with a T-3rd performance at Wohali, while Provence was 7th and Plewe was T-12th.
The William H. Tucker Intercollegiate is one of the oldest collegiate tournaments in the nation and dates back to 1955 when the Lobos won the inaugural event. New Mexico has won the event 15 times, most recently in 2023.
