Josh Bradford Promoted to Assistant AD for Event Management
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico announced Thursday that Josh Bradford has been promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Event Management. Bradford, who has been UNM’s director of parking and events since August of 2023, will now oversee all athletic and special events that take place in UNM athletic facilities, including serving as tournament director for all postseason championship events. He will also oversees UNM’s event staff from parking management to stadium ushers to volunteers at various golf tournaments hosted by UNM.
Over the past two years, Bradford oversaw events and all parking operations for the various events hosted by UNM, which along with UNM’s home events for football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, volleyball, soccer, softball, baseball, tennis and track and field, included over 70 dates for the Albuquerque Isotopes, nearly 20 home events for New Mexico United and all NMAA Championship events, plus the New Mexico Bowl.
Before his role as director of parking, Bradford performed a valuable role with events in 2022-23 on a part-time basis, overseeing softball and men’s and women’s tennis events, along with helping at many of the various high school events hosted by UNM, including the NMAA High School Championships for basketball, baseball, softball and track & field. He also had a big hand in helping UNM host the 2023 NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships.
“Josh has been a very important part of our Event Management team for the last several years here at UNM,” said Ed Manzanares, Senior Associate AD for Strategic Operations. “I am very excited for him to lead our Event Management team with his great work ethic and passion for Lobo Athletics.”
A native of Albuquerque, Bradford earned his bachelor of science in exercise science in 2019 from UNM, and completed the curriculum for his master’s in sports administration from UNM as well.
