Ariel Fifita Hired as Assistant Coach for Lobo Softball

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— Ariel Fifita has joined the Lobo Softball staff as announced by head coach Nicole Orgeron.

Fifita will serve as a secondary hitting coach and work with the infielders.

A recent graduate of Utah State, Fifita led the Aggies in batting average, hits, doubles, total bases and on-base percentage and was selected to Second Team All-Mountain West in 2025, as well as led the team in hits as a junior. Overall, the San Marcos, California native played in 175 games with 168 starts as a shortstop.

Fifita graduated from Utah State with a B.S. in psychology with a minor in sociology from Utah State in 2025.
