Lobo Soccer 2025 Season Starts with Exhibition Thursday
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— The 2025 season gets underway with an exhibition against UTEP on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
While Thursday’s result won’t count on UNM’s season record, it will be the first appearance in a Lobo uniform for nine players, as well as an opportunity to get the newcomers minutes and see how the team responds to situations against another opponent as the Lobos prepare for a tough non-conference and conference schedule.
Following Thursday’s exhibition, the Lobos will have one week until the season opener at home against Texas Southern, the start of five matches in the month of August, of which only two are at home. In total, of UNM’s eight non-conference matches, only three are at home before the 10-match conference schedule starts at the end of September.
The Lobos host five conference matches, including against the MW Preseason No. 1 and No. 2 teams Utah State and Boise State, respectively, as well as Grand Canyon, Colorado College and Wyoming.
All eight home matches in 2025 are free admission.
