Following another successful semester on the diamond and in the classroom, New Mexico Baseball has earned the American Baseball Coaches’ Association’s Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2024-25 season, the organization announced Wednesday.
The Lobos are one of over 750 member high school and college programs nationwide that have earned the 2024-25 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack. This award recognizes ABCA member teams from all levels of high school and collegiate baseball that achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2024-25 academic year.
This past semester, UNM Baseball compiled a 3.51 team GPA while going 30-23 on the year and reaching the Mountain West Tournament for the second year in a row. The Lobos have notched a 3.0 GPA or better in 25 of the last 26 semesters, with each of the Top Five highest single-semester GPA’s in program history being under Head Coach Tod Brown.
UNM has now earned the award for four seasons in a row (2025, 2024, 2023, 2022).
