Lobo Baseball to Host Fan Tailgate Ahead of Final Home Series This Weekend

by Connor Gilbert

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — With a Mountain West Regular-Season Championship on the line, New Mexico Baseball returns to Santa Ana Star Field for its final series of the year this weekend — and fans are invited to help send the season out in style at a special pregame tailgate celebration ahead of Thursday’s series opener.

All three games feature FREE ADMISSION, with a special slate of promotions for fans all weekend.

The Lobos (29-20, 16-11 MW) host Fresno State (25-26, 16-11 MW) in a pivotal three-game series starting Thursday, with both teams tied for second place in the conference standings. New Mexico has already clinched a spot in the Mountain West Tournament, set for May 21–24 in Mesa, Ariz., but a series win would lock in a valuable first-round bye — and potentially a share or outright claim to the regular season title depending on results around the league.
