Men’s Golf to Compete at NCAA Tallahassee Regional

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico men’s golf team travels to Florida this week for the 2025 NCAA Tallahassee Regional. The tournament will run Monday-Wednesday at the 7,520-yard, par-72 Seminole Legacy Golf Club on the campus of Florida State in Tallahassee.

The tournament will feature one round of play on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Live scoring will be available on Scoreboard.

New Mexico, ranked No. 46 nationally, is the No. 8 seed in the Tallahassee Regional. The 14 teams in the field are Ole Miss, Florida State, San Diego State, Georgia, Louisville, Northwestern, Notre Dame, New Mexico, USC, Michigan State, Furman, Augusta, Davidson, Florida A&M. The top five teams at the regional will advance to the NCAA Championships, held May 23-28 in Carlsbad, Calif. The top individual (not on advancing teams) will also advance to the NCAA Championships.

The Lobos are making their 32nd NCAA Regional appearance since the format was adopted in 1989, having advanced to the NCAA Championships 20 times. UNM finished fifth last year while competing at the West Lafayette Regional in Indiana to advance to the NCAA Championships for the second straight year, their 44th overall NCAA Championship appearance.

The Lobos will feature a lineup of Mesa Falleur, Carson Herron, Wyatt Provence, Oliver Cage and Clark Sonnenberg. Alvaro Portillo is the alternate.

New Mexico is coming off a third place finish at the Mountain West Championship, its sixth top-five finish of the season and the Lobos’ third straight top five.
