New Mexico Athletics Partners with Teamworks General Manager
The University of New Mexico (UNM) Athletics is taking a decisive step toward modernizing its operations and enhancing student-athlete support with the adoption of Teamworks General Manager (GM). As athletic departments across the country prepare for a new era of NIL management and evolving financial models, New Mexico joins a growing number of forward-thinking programs embracing technology to streamline operations and drive strategic decision-making.
With this adoption, New Mexico becomes the fifth Mountain West Conference program to implement Teamworks General Manager, reinforcing the growing momentum across the league toward modernizing operations and preparing for the future of collegiate athletics.
Teamworks General Manager serves as a centralized platform for roster management, NIL oversight, and department-wide financial planning—combining key operational areas into a single system built specifically for collegiate athletics. With powerful features like customizable player tags, secure athlete payments, mock roster planning, and integrated budgeting, GM equips athletic leaders with the technology to stay agile and aligned in a rapidly changing environment.
“We are excited to partner with Teamworks General Manager as this will greatly enhance the student-athlete experience and it will allow us to streamline many facets of what we do,” said Amy Beggin, Sr. Associate A.D. for Compliance/Deputy Title IX Coordinator/SWA at UNM. “From integrating communications, to helping our student-athletes maximize NIL opportunities, to back-end processes that will help our student-athletes at UNM and beyond, this partnership is about putting our student-athletes first and it prepares them, and us, for success.”
UNM already utilizes Teamworks Compliance and Recruiting, as well as Camps, to support core areas of athletic operations. The addition of General Manager further expands their Teamworks ecosystem—eliminating silos, reducing redundancies, and enabling real-time collaboration across staff and departments.
“New Mexico’s adoption of General Manager reflects a department committed to strategic innovation,” said Wes French, General Manager of Teamworks Personnel. “They’ve embraced a model of leadership that prioritizes data-driven decisions and streamlined execution, and we’re proud to support them as they move forward.”
Teamworks General Manager is the only fully integrated leadership and operations platform designed specifically for college sports. By combining roster planning, compliance, financial modeling, and NIL strategy into one solution, GM helps athletic departments like New Mexico automate workflows, gain critical insights, and future-proof their programs.
With this partnership, UNM Athletics affirms its position as a leader in operational innovation—equipping its teams, staff, and student-athletes with the tools to thrive in today’s competitive collegiate landscape.
