CRESWELL, Ore. –– The New Mexico men’s golf team had a strong final round of the 2025 Mountain West Championship during Sunday’s play at Emerald Valley Golf Club. The Lobos shot the low round of the day, 17-under, to climb from fifth place to a third-place finish at 30-under.

San Diego State won the tournament with a 54-under total. UNLV was second at 31-under, one shot ahead of the Lobos at 30-under. San Jose State and Colorado State tied for fourth at 22-under.

Mesa Falleur shot a 6-under 66 on Sunday to finish T-4th individually at 11-under. It is his second top-five and team-leading fifth top-10 of the season. Carson Herron had a 5-under 67 during the final round to finish at 6-under overall. Oliver Cage also finished at 6-under, shooting a bogey-free final round 68, highlighted by a hole in one on No. 5. Wyatt Provence and Clark Sonnenberg each shot a 2-under 70 on Sunday, as Provence finished at 4-under and Sonnenberg at 3-under.

The Lobos will await the NCAA selection show on Wednesday, which airs at 11am MT on Golf Channel. The NCAA regionals will take place May 12-14.
