ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico men’s golf team travels to Arizona this week to conclude the regular season at the ASU Thunderbird Collegiate. The event, hosted by Arizona State at the 7,419-yard, par-72 Papago Golf Course in Phoenix, will run Friday-Saturday.

The tournament will feature two rounds of play on Friday and one round on Saturday. Live scoring will be available on Scoreboard.

Every team in the elite 10-team field is ranked in the national top 100, including seven top-50 squads. The Lobos, ranked No. 49 nationally, will take on No. 5 Arizona State, No. 10 UCLA, No. 14 Utah, No. 33 Colorado, No. 41 Houston and No. 47 USC. Grand Canyon, Loyola Marymount and Oregon State round out the field.

The Lobos will feature a lineup of Mesa Falleur, Carson Herron, Wyatt Provence, Alvaro Portillo and Clark Sonnenberg. Oliver Cage will compete as an individual.

UNM is playing the ASU Thunderbird for the fifth straight year, coming off a T-6th finish at last year’s event. Lobos have won the individual title three times, most recently Albert Boneta in 2021.

The Lobos are coming off an T-5th finish at the Hootie at Bulls Bay last month in South Carolina, their fourth top-five finish of the season.
