Lobo Women’s Golf Caps Regular Season at PING/ASU Invitational
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico women’s golf team concludes its regular season schedule this week with a trip to Arizona for the PING/ASU Invitational. The event, hosted by Arizona State, will be played Friday through Sunday at the 6,586 yard-par 72 Papago Golf Club in Phoenix.
The event features one round a day, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Live scoring will be available on Scoreboard.
The tournament will consist of a 13-team field, as New Mexico will play eight top-80 foes in No. 8 Arizona State, No. 12 Northwestern, No. 21 Kansas, No. 26 UCLA, No. 33 Cal. No. 42 Pepperdine, No. 71 Tulsa and No. 74 Grand Canyon. Abilene Christian, Northern Arizona, New Mexico State and Florida Atlantic round out the field.
New Mexico’s lineup for the event is Maria Garcia, Annie Saechueng, Chelsea Truong, Maria Caparros Levin and Rebecca Galasso. Sophia Zamarripa is playing the event as an individual.
The Lobos are playing the PING/ASU Invitational for the ninth straight season.
New Mexico is coming off a 12th place finish two weeks ago at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational in Austin, Texas. The Lobos will begin the postseason April 15-17 with the Mountain West Championship in Palm Springs, Calif.
