Lobos in 12th Place After First Day of Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational
AUSTIN, Texas – The New Mexico women’s golf team began play Monday at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational with the opening two rounds of play at the University of Texas Golf Club. The Lobos shot 33-over in both of the first two rounds to finish the day in 12th place at 66-over.
No. 7 Texas is the 36-hole leader at 7-over. No. 13 LSU is second at 19-over, while No. 2 Arkansas is in third at 22-over.
Freshman Chelsea Truong led the Lobos on Monday, shooting rounds of 76 and 79 to finish the day T-26th at 11-over. Fellow freshman Maria Garcia is at 16-over, while Maria Caparros Levin and Annie Saechueng are both at 21-over. Rebecca Galasso rounds out the lineup at 23-over.
The Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational will conclude Tuesday with the final round of play at the University of Texas Golf Club.
