Men's Tennis Travels to NMSU Sunday

by Frank Mercogliano

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The New Mexico Lobos still have plenty of season left, and after opening their home schedule last week, the Lobos travel to face rival New Mexico State, in what is the second to last game of the season for the Aggies.  The Match, originally scheduled for Saturday at 3 pm has been moved to Sunday at 10 am due to impending weather in Las Cruces.  There will be no live stream or live stats of the match.

The Lobos are coming off a sweep of Wichita State and No. 67 Santa Clara that gave UNM the Jack Kennedy Classic title and pushed UNM into the national rankings for the first time this season at No. 66.  Aram Noroozian went a perfect 4-0 in singles and doubles with a win over the No. 104-ranked singles player to earn Mountain West Player of the Week honors.  Overall, UNM is 7-6 on the season.

New Mexico State is 8-12 and has just the match with UNM and a Thursday home match with Pratt Community College left on the schedule.  The Aggies will then have a month off before the CUSA Tournament at Liberty University.
