Swimming Competes on Day 1 of NIC

OCALA, Fla. — The Lobos took part in Day 1 of the CSCAA National Invitational Championships on Thursday, with four Lobos competing over four events

In the 50-yard Fly, Arianna Stokes was UNM’s top finisher, tying for 38th place with a time of 25.28.  Sophia Corder also competed in the even, coming in 46th with a time of 25.43.  Stokes also competed in the 50-yard free, coming in 35th place with a time of 23.53.  Joran Foster, who will compete tomorrow as well, was UNM’s competitor in the 50-yard breaststroke, finishing 28th with a time of 29.05.

Those three Lobos combined with Linda Franco for 200-yard freestyle relay, but UNM didn’t register a time due to an early start on one of the relay legs.

The CSCAA National Invitational Championships continue on Friday, and UNM will have Jordan Foster competing i the 100-yard breaststroke.
