Gomez Places 15th in 3M at NCAA Zones

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. — Isabella Gomez finished 15th in her first NCAA postseason event, scoring a 548.20 over 12 dives in the 3-meter springboar on the first day of the NCAA Zone E Championships.

The top eight finishers advanced to the NCAA Championships. Gomez scored a 274.90 over her first six dives to finish prelims 15th out of 51 divers to advance to the finals as the top-18 moved on. Unlike other meets, the finals were added to the prelim scores. Gomez scored a 273.3 on her final six dives giving her a consistent score.

Gomez and Lobo teammate Arianna Pelligra will compete in the platform dive at the Zone E Championships where the top nine will qualify. Gomez finished third in the MW in the platform two weeks ago.
