ALBUQUERQUE, N.M – The Mountain west-leading New Mexico men’s basketball team travels to Colorado this weekend for a Saturday afternoon matchup with Air Force. Game time is 2:00 pm at Clune Arena and the game will air on the Mountain West Network, Altitude and the Lobo Radio Network.

New Mexico (19-4, 11-1 MW) is in first place in the Mountain West and looking to secure its third straight 20-win season. The Lobos have won five straight and are coming off wins over the second and third place teams in the standings, downing Utah State 82-63 last Saturday in Logan and Colorado State 87-65 on Wednesday night in The Pit. Nelly Junior Joseph, the reigning Mountain West Player of the Week, has recorded four straight double-doubles.
Air Force (3-20, 0-12 MW) is searching for its first conference win of the season, but have come close at home, losing by five to Wyoming and on a buzzer-beater in overtime against San Diego State. The Falcons are led by Ethan Taylor, who leads the team in scoring, rebounding and assists, while ranking fifth nationally in minutes played.
New Mexico leads the all-time series 67-27, including a 24-19 mark at Clune Arena. The teams split last year’s regular season games, each winning on the road, before the Lobos won the matchup in the first round of the Mountain West Tournament.
New Mexico returns home for a pair of games next week, hosting Wyoming on Wednesday (8 pm) and Utah State on Sunday (2 pm). The Utah State game is already sold out, but tickets are on sale for the other three remaining home games (Wyoming, Air Force, UNLV) at GoLobos.com/tickets.
