Lobos Face Rams in Second National TV Game Tuesday
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— The Lobos are set for their second nationally-televised game of the season on Tuesday night, hosting Colorado State on FS1. Game time is set for 8:30 p.m. MT.
UNM is 13-10 on the season, 6-4 in conference after dropping its last three games, while CSU is 15-7 on the season, 6-3 in conference after a loss to Air Force on Saturday.
SERIES HISTORY
Tuesday night will be the second game of the season against Colorado State with the Lobos winning the first game 78-74 in Fort Collins. UNM led 26-10 at the end of the first quarter, 38-28 at the half and 60-45 at the end of the third quarter, and led for a total of 37:06 and by as many as 18 points.
Viané Cumber led the Lobos with 25 points (tying her career high) and 11 rebounds for her third double-double and Joana Magalhães paced the Lobos early scoring 10 points in the first quarter and finished with a season-high 20 points for her first 20-point game of the season.
UNM leads the all-time series 51-41 and is 31-13 in home games and has won the last eight games played in The Pit in the series dating back to 2018. Overall, the Lobos have won three of the last four games in the series.
Coach Bradbury is 11-6 all-time against the Rams, 8-1 at home.

Among the Mountain West teams, the Lobos rank in the top three in six categories: second in four and third in two.
The Lobos are second in the conference in scoring (72.1), rebounds per game (38.0), blocks per game (4.0) and defensive rebounds per game (27.4). The Lobos are third in field goal percentage (.438) and steals per game (8.7).
UNM’s 10 blocks against Morehead State are tied for the second most in a game by a MW team this season. UNM’s 26 assists at Utah State are tied for the most by a MW team this season and the 101 points at Utah State are the second most scored by a MW team this season.
On an individual level, Viané Cumber leads the conference in free throw percentage (.929), three-point field goal percentage (.369), three-pointers per game (2.7), and in made three-pointers with 62, seven more than the next MW player. She’s also third in minutes played (33.5), sixth in defensive rebounds per game (5.2) as well as sixth in field goal percentage (.428), and fifth in scoring (16.4). Cumber’s seven three-pointers against Morehead State are the most made by a MW player this season with her 14 three-point attempts at Utah State also the most. Her six at Boise State is tied for the second most three-pointers. Destinee Hooks is fourth in the conference in points per game at 16.6 and third in field goal percentage (.471). Hooks’ 11 made field goals in the game at Texas Tech are tied for the second most by a MW player.
Alyssa Hargrove is third in the conference in assists per game (3.8), fourth in steals per game (2.2) and sixth in assist/turnover ratio (1.3). Amhyia Moreland is fourth in blocks per game (1.4) and Hulda Joaquim is sixth in rebounds per game (7.2) and fourth in offensive rebounds per game (3.1).
Against MW opponents, the Lobos are second in scoring (72.2), steals per game (7.9) and in defensive rebounds per game (27.1). UNM is third in rebounds per game (36.8). Hooks is eighth in points per game (16.1) with Cumber sixth (17.0) and Hooks ninth in field goal percentage (.440). Cumber is tied for the conference lead in three-pointers made per game (2.7) and is third in three-point percentage (.370) and free-throw percentage (.897). Joaquim leads the MW in offensive rebounds (3.2) and tied for seventh in rebounds per game (7.3). Hargrove is fourth in assists per game (4.2) and sixth in steals per game (2.1).
The 36 made baskets against Utah State are tied for the most by a MW team in a conference game this season with the 26 assists in the game the most.

In 16 home games, UNM is outscoring opponents 1134-1058 (+76) in home games and averaging 70.9 ppg while allowing 66.1 ppg. The Lobos are shooting 42.9% and 31.7% from three-point range, making an average of 7.2 three-pointers per game. UNM is also outrebounding opponents 37.6-34.9 (+2.7) and averaging 9.4 steals per game and 4.7 blocks per game in The Pit.
Destinee Hooks (15.9 ppg) and Viané Cumber (15.7 ppg) are averaging double figures in home games, while Hulda Joaquim is averaging 7.6 ppg and 6.6 rpg and Alyssa Hargrove is averaging 8.0 ppg, 2.1 spg and 3.7 apg.

On the season, UNM has scored 258 fast-break points (11.2 per game), while limiting opponents to 170 (7.4 per game). The Lobos held NAU, NMSU, USU, FS and BSU to five fast-break points, Western New Mexico, Pepperdine and UC Irvine to four and South Carolina State, Sacramento State, Gonzaga and Wyoming to two. The Lobos didn’t allow a fast-break point against SDSU.
The Lobos have had the edge in fast-break points in 17 games and are 12-5 when having the advantage.

Since the Lobos last played the Rams, CSU is 2-1 with wins over Boise State and Wyoming and a loss to Air Force.
On the season, CSU is averaging 69.4 points and allowing 61.1 points per game with Emma Ronsiek leading the team with 18.6 points per game and 49 three-pointers. In conference games, Ronsiek is averaging 20.2 points per game, while as a team, CSU is scoring 71.7 points per game with opponents scoring 65.3 points per game.
