Lobos Close Out Team Open With No. 2 Women's 4x4 All-Time

ON THE TRACK
In the first races of the day, Semaj Thompson recorded a new personal best in the 60 hurdles (8.41 converted) that moved him up to No. 7 on the UNM indoor all-time list. Pietra Campbell Simoes did the same on the women’s side, matching her debut time (8.69 raw / 8.71 converted) that ranks seventh on the women’s list. The duo finished

Up next in the unseeded sections of the 60m dash, Laylah Lawson (7.78), Sofia Pineda (7.80) and Ophelia Pulley (7.91) finished fifth, sixth and 14th, respectively.

In his first collegiate race, freshman Blake Reynolds finished seventh in the third heat of the men’s mile (4:36.53), good for a 4:30.51 conversion. Katrina Endres (5:19.20 / 5:12.25@) and Maleah Goldie (5:19.33 / 5:12.38@) finished 26th and 27th overall in the women’s mile. Goldie PR’d in the mile for the third time in a row – this time a 3.86-second improvement from her previous best – while Endres shaved more than 20 seconds off her mile time from last Saturday (5:39.48).

Matthew Endrody was UNM’s top finisher in the men’s 800m, posting a 1:51.39 in his first race at that distance to finish ahead of fellow freshman Rhys Crawford (15th, 1:53.73). Stefana Purkovic (2:14.61) finished seventh overall in the women’s heats ahead of Hannah Taylor (8th, 2:17.08) and Fiona Holloway (10th, 2:18.33).

In the men’s 4x400m relay, the Lobo men finished third in the second heat and 10th overall with a 3:16.80 (3:17.24 converted) time. The UNM women’s 4×4 squad – comprised of Lou-Anne Pouzancre, Eva Ngom, Hanna Kiess and Anaya Quarles closed the night out with the second-fastest time in program history (3:39.25), finishing third overall.

ON THE RUNWAYS
Cameron Miller placed sixth in the men’s triple jump, coming just shy of his season-opening mark from last weekend (14.73m). Arian Milicija cleared 4.78m to finish 8th in the men’s “A” Pole Vault flight and Kiara Quezada-Arzate (3.71m) finished 7th on the women’s side.
