New Mexico (12-3, 4-0 MW) is looking to start a Mountain West season 5-0 for the first time ever and start 5-0 in conference play for the first time since 1977-78 when it opened WAC play 10-0. Wyoming (9-6, 2-2 MW) is coming off a 70-65 win at Air Force on Saturday. The Cowboys, who are 6-1 at home this season, are led in scoring by Obi Agbam at 18.5 points per game. Agbam missed the last game at Air Force due to injury.
New Mexico leads the all-time series 80-72, but the Cowboys lead 44-28 in Laramie and 20-19 in the Arena-Auditorium. The Lobos have won the last three meetings and are looking to win in Laramie in three consecutive seasons for the first time since 2012-14.
The Lobos will return home to host San Diego State on Saturday. The game against the Aztecs will air on CBS and tip-off at 11:00 am. The game is a Stripe Out, so check the seat map to see whether to wear red or white.
