Four Lobos Named CSC Volleyball Academic All-District
Four Lobos were named to Academic All-District by College Sports Communicators for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom on Wednesday, with senior Elizabeth Woods, junior Lauryn Payne and sophomores Liepa Lavickyte and Madeleine Miller all earning the first Academic All-District nods of their careers.
Nominees must meet a variety of academic and athletic criteria in order to be eligible:
- Nominees must compete in 90 percent of the institution’s matches played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution’s matches. Liberos, although not counted in stats as a starter, may be counted as such for nominating purposes.
- An undergraduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).
- A graduate student-athlete must have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) as both an undergraduate and a grad student unless they are in their first semester as a graduate student and don’t have an established graduate GPA.
