Lobo Soccer Rounds Out Roster with Five Transfers Ahead of 2024 Season
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— After signing four freshmen in the offseason, Lobo Soccer rounded out the roster with five transfers, adding two forwards, a midfielder and two defenders.
Joining the Lobos ahead of the 2024 season were Hayden Crowley, Logan Nicholson, Samantha Corrie, Aléjandra Puerto and Morgan Juran.
Samantha Corrie | Defender | Sophomore | Winchester, England | Nebraska
Corrie appeared in four matches in her only season with the Huskers, and a total of 40 minutes. During her four matches, she assisted on a goal against Missouri on Aug. 31 for her first collegiate points, with Nebraska going on to win the Big Ten regular season and made it to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament.
From England, Corrie has international club experience, having played for the 2022-2023 Southampton FC Squad for the English Women’s Championship matches and in 2021-22, where the team won the National League Reserve South League and made it to the U16 FA Cup Finals in 2020. Additionally, the club was a Hampshire Cup Finalists 2023 season and won the 2021-2022 Southampton Women’s District Cup.

Hayden Crowley | Forward | Junior | Richland, Washington | Washington
In her two seasons at Washington, Crowley appeared in a combined 21 matches with four starts with her first collegiate start against Air Force on Aug. 21, 2022. During her time in Seattle, she played 508 total minutes with 438 occurring during her freshman season and took eight shots with four on goal. Crowley appeared in 15 matches with four starts as a freshman, and took seven shots with four on goal, including a season-high three shots came against Air Force.
During her high school career at Richland High School Crowley earned Washington State Gatorade Player of the Year in 2022-2023, 4A WA State Co-player of the Year in 2021, as well as the 2021 Mid-Columbia Conference Player of the Year and Mid-Columbia Conference First Team in 2018, 2020 and 2021.

Morgan Juran | Defender | Sophomore | Littleton, Colorado | Elon
A Colorado native, Juran enters her sophomore season after spending her lone season at Elon where she appeared in all 17 matches with 14 starts and played a total of 1252 minutes, including 90 minutes in eight matches. Juran was a staple on the field for Elon as a freshman, playing the fourth-most minutes on the team and the most by a freshman on the 2023 team. Her 14 starts were the second most by a freshman on the team. In her time on the field, she took one shot on goal against Delaware on Oct. 5, 2023 and two shots on the season.
Prior to her time at Elon, she was ranked No. 58 by TopDrawerSoccer-IMG Academy for the 2023 class and ranked No. 6 for the Rocky Mountain and Southwest region for the class of 2023. Further, she was invited to US WNT Camp U-17 in October 2021 and US WNT U-17 National Team Virtual Camp in March 2021 and participated in US Youth National Talent Identification Centers from 2019-2202. During her high school career at Columbine High School, Juran won two State Cup Championships and selected to be a member of a 2004-2005 travel team that played in England against Premier League Clubs.

Logan Nicholson | Midfielder | Graduate Student | Phippsburg, Maine | New Hampshire
From Maine, Nicholson appeared in a combined 49 matches with 34 starts and played 3124 minutes at the University of New Hampshire. Among her highlights during her time as a Wildcat, Nicholson had one assist in 2021 against UMBC on Oct. 10 and recorded 28 shots with 14 on goal in her four years. In her most recent season at UNH, she played in 15 matches with seven starts and took nine shots with two on goal.
On choosing UNM: “I chose UNM because of the family-oriented culture within the team and staff. The environment is a mix of fun and competitive, which is a good balance. It was evident that the coaches want each individual to grow as a player and person which is something I admire.”
Aléjandra Puerto | Forward | Junior | La Ceiba, Honduras
Puerto joins New Mexico after playing the last two seasons at Fairmont State in Fairmont, West Virginia, where she appeared in a combined 35 matches with 33 starts her two years. Puerto played 14 matches with 13 starts as a sophomore, scoring six goals with one assist, and played 1101 minutes with four matches of 90 minutes. She led the team in goals, shots on goal (34) and shots (57) and was second on the team in points with 13 in her most recent season. As a freshman, she played in 21 matches with 20 starts and 1740 minutes, including playing 90 minutes four times and 110 minutes once. She finished second on the team in points (20), goals (seven), assists (six) and shots on goal (28) and shots (75) and tied for the team lead in game-winning goals (four). Among her highlights, she scored two goals in consecutive matches her freshman season and two goals in a match once her sophomore season.
During her time there, she was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic Region 2nd Team, 2022 All-MEC Second Team, the All-MEC Freshman Team and 2022 MEC All-Tournament Team as a freshman with her team winning their first MEC Championship and making their appearance in the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Tournament in 2022.
Most recently, Puerto was called up to the Honduras Women’s National Team Camp at the beginning of July 2024.
