UNM Women's Basketball Announces Non-Conference Schedule
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— The University of New Mexico women’s basketball 15-game non-conference schedule features a total of 13 home games and concludes with a December Lobo Invitational home tournament.
UNM starts the 2024-25 campaign with two exhibitions against New Mexico Highlands on Oct. 20 and Western Colorado on Oct. 26 before the regular season begins on Nov. 4 with a Field Trip game against Northern Arizona.
The Lobos’ homestand to start the season closes with a game against Morehead State on Nov. 7, leading to their first road trip at Texas Tech on Nov. 12. The time away from The Pit is temporary as the Lobos return home for their next six games, with games against Western New Mexico (Nov. 15), South Carolina State (Nov. 20), Gonzaga (Nov. 24), UC Irvine (Nov. 27), North Texas (Dec. 1) and New Mexico State (Dec. 6).
Following the Dec. 6 game against New Mexico State, the Lobos complete the home-and-home with NMSU in Las Cruces on Dec. 8.
UNM closes out the non-conference portion of the schedule with a Dec. 15 game against Pepperdine and with the Lobo Invitational against Sacramento State and Abilene Christian on Dec. 19 and Dec. 21, respectively.
Regarding the schedule, UNM will play Morehead State for the first time since 2011 and of note, head coach Mike Bradbury coached at Morehead State in his first head coaching role from 2007-08 to 2009-10.
In addition, the Lobos will travel to Lubbock for the first time since 2016 and will host Gonzaga for the first time since 2004. UNM will play UNT for the first time since 2012, UNM is historically 2-0 against both Sacramento State and UC Irvine with all previous games at home, UNM is 3-2 against Pepperdine after winning the last two games, and UNM enters the NMSU series with a 58-27 advantage and has won the last two games in the series and 10 of the last 11.
Renewals for season ticket holders for the 2024-25 season are currently ongoing until Aug. 30 with new season tickets going on sale at a later date.
