The Enchantment vs. Lobo Alumni Exhibition Game on Tuesday Night

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M – Many former New Mexico men’s basketball players will be at The Pit on Tuesday night as The Enchantment, the TBT team representing New Mexico, will play an exhibition against Team Douglas, a team of Lobo alumni, named in honor of the late Ruben Douglas.

Doors open at 4:30 pm, with an autograph session for fans at 4:45 pm. Local youth all-star teams will be on the court beginning at 5:00 pm. Players from The Enchantment and Team Douglas will compete in a 3-point contest and slam dunk contest at 6:30 pm, prior to the start of the exhibition game at 7:00 pm. Tickets for the event are on sale now at GoLobos.com/tickets.

The Enchantment is preparing to compete in the TBT for the fourth time, as they will compete in the Houston Regional, beginning on Friday. The team is coming off a regional final appearance last year in the 64-team, winner-take-all $1,000,000 tournament. This year’s squad will once again be coached by Lobo legend Kenny Thomas. The Enchantment roster features this year recent UNM players Morris Udeze and Isaac Mushila, former Lobo and Enchantment veterans Anthony Mathis and Roman Martinez, along with former Albuquerque prep standouts Scott Bamforth and Bryce Alford.

Team Douglas consists of UNM alumni and is expected to include former NBA players Tony Snell, Alex Kirk and Darington Hobson, along with 2013 Mountain West Player of the Year Kendall Williams.

Prior to the game, three Lobo greats who recently passed will be honored. There will be a moment of silence to recognize Ruben Douglas, Drew Gordon and Greg Brown.
