Lobos Announce 2024 Soccer Schedule
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.— The Lobos have a balanced schedule for 2024 with 10 home matches and eight on the road and feature new opponents coming to Albuquerque.
Of the non-conference schedule, the Lobos play five of the seven matches at home.
UNM opens the season on the road against New Mexico State on Sunday, Aug. 18 before starting a five-match homestand with UC Riverside (Aug. 22), Oregon (Aug. 25), San Diego (Sept. 1), UC Santa Barbara (Sept. 5) and UTEP (Sept. 8).
A trip to Northern Arizona on Sept. 19 closes the non-conference schedule, leading to conference play starting at home against UNLV (Sept. 26) and Nevada (Sept. 29) at the end of September.
Following a loaded home schedule the first two months, the Lobos head on the road for their next four matches, traveling to Boise State (Oct. 3) and Utah State (Oct. 6) the first week of October and Air Force (Oct. 10) and Colorado College (Oct. 13) the second week of October.
The Lobos return home for a week to host Fresno State (Oct. 17) and San José State (Oct. 20) before returning back to the road to play Colorado State (Oct. 24) and Wyoming (Oct. 27). UNM closes the MW schedule at home on Halloween against San Diego State.
All matches fall on either a Thursday or Sunday and all home Thursday matches will have a 7:30 p.m. start time with all home Sunday matches a 1:30 p.m. start time.
As aforementioned, the 2024 schedule features new opponents for the Lobos and new matchups in Albuquerque. The match against Oregon will be the first all-time between the two programs and the match against UC Riverside will be the first played in Albuquerque in the series since 2011. Similarly, the match against UC Santa Barbara is the first between the two teams since 2013 and the match against UTEP is the first between the two programs since 2018.
In addition, the match at Northern Arizona will be the first meeting in Flagstaff since 2016.
Lobo fans will be able to purchase Pride Passes at a later date for admission to all home matches.
