Schedule update: Lobo Baseball Saturday Game vs. Sam Houston Canceled

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Today’s non conference matchup between New Mexico and Sam Houston — originally slated for a 2 p.m. start — has been called due to inclement weather with heavy winds and will not be made up. Tomorrow’s series finale — set for a 12 p.m. MT first pitch — will remain unchanged.

LHP Daxton Purser (0-1, 4.94 ERA, 27.1 IP,23 K, 20 BB) will start tomorrow’s finale against SHSU LHP Michael Watson (1-1, 4.88 ERA, 27.2 IP, 32 K, 13 BB). The Lobos plated 14 runs on 16 hits and outscored Sam Houston 12-8 over the final five frames in Friday’s Game One, but ultimately fell 23-14.
