Lobos Finish Day Two at NISC
OCALA, Fla. — Jordan Foster placed 20th in the 100-yard butterfly and the Lobos’ 200-yard medley relay team finished 30th on Day Two of the National Invitational Swimming Championships.
Overall, UNM added 11.5 points to its total and now sits 43rd at the championships with one day remaining.
Foster was 13th in qualifying in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 54.85, advancing to the evening finals where she finished 20th overall, coming in at 55.62. UNM’s 200-yard medley relay team was 30th overall, scoring 10.5 points.
The only other swimmer on the day was Iryna Tsesiul, who was 28th in qualifying in the 100-fly. Foster did swim in the 50-yard free time trial and recorded the third-best time at 23.66. Linda Franco was 13th in the same trial with a 24.68. Sophia Corder was seventh in the 100-yard butterfly time trail with a time of 56.83.
Saturday is the final day of the NISC, and only Foster swims, doing so in the 100-yard individual medley.
