Lobos Finish Postseason Diving, Swimmers Up Next

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — Next up are the Lobo swimmers.  UNM has completed its trip to the NCAA Diving Zones as both Alice English and Kristen Hepfer competed in the platform dive.  English and Hepfer finished 36th and 39th in the event, one which UNM normally doesn’t compete in but qualified for the postseason in anyways.

The results also count for the National Invitational Swimming Championships, giving UNM points in five events heading into the swimming portion of the meet.  Now the focus shifts three time zones east as the NISCs are taking place in Ocala, Florida.

There, Jordan Foster will swim in three events, the 50 Free, the 100 Fly, and the 100 IM and Iryna Tsesiul in two, the 50 Back, and the 100 Back. Both Jordan and Iryna will be joined by Sophia Corder and Linda Franco for the 200 Medley Relay and 400 Medley Relay.

Foster will swim in the 50 Free on Thursday, the 100 Fly on Friday and the 100 IM on Saturday, giving her one race each day.  Tsesiul will swim in the 50 Bck on Thursday and the 50 Back on Friday.  The 400 Medley Relay will be on Thursday and the 200 Medley Relay will be on Friday.
