Lobos Head East for Three Matches in Four Days
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — New Mexico is sitting in a place they aren’t used to … the Lobos are on a three-game losing skid, losing to a pair of nationally-ranked foes 4-3 and to Texas Tech of the Big XII. Now, UNM has to get ready for Mountain West play with its final four non-conference games, all away from home.
That starts this weekend when UNM heads to the Eastern Time Zone for three matches in Wilmington, North Carolina. The Lobos will take on Wichita State for the second time this season before facing host UNC Wilmington and William & Mary.
UNM will be looking to return to form with a second match this season against Wichita State. UNM won the first meeting 4-3. Wichita State is 3-11 overall and just 2-8 away from home. Host UNC Wilmington is 6-4 overall with a win over No. 48 Georgia State and a 4-0 win over Wichita State. William & Mary is sitting at 7-6 overall, having won five of its last seven.
UNM leads the all-time series with Wichita State 9-6. UNM has never faced off with UNC Wilmington or William & Mary.
