75 Named MW All-Academic for Fall

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Mountain West announced the 2023 Fall All-Academic squads and the New Mexico Lobos were well represented once again.  Overall, UNM had 75 honorees, which places UNM fifth in the league, the same spot UNM was at last year with the Lobos leading the league for a second straight year and for the eighth time in the last 11 years.

UNM had 28 honorees in football, 21 in women’s soccer, 10 in men’s cross country, nine in volleyball, and seven in women’s cross country.

To be named Mountain West All-Academic, student-athletes must have a cumulative grade point average at the member institution, of 3.0 or better and they must have competed in 50 percent of the team’s completed varsity contests.
